The "Eye of the Storm" has reached top spot, and shows no sign of dissipation

By: Mike Johnston - Five Finger Death Punch sits atop the Billboard charts once again. Their latest single “Eye of the Storm” debuted at # 1 on the Hard Rock 100. This marks the group’s 11th top 10 single, following 2020’s “A Little Bit Off”. Unlike its aptly melancholic, pandemic era predecessor, “Eye of the Storm” is fully switched on (and it’s pissed off).

Death Punch diehards can settle in early for this one. A classic Ivan Moody intro

sees the lead singer vamp a religious anthology before the song explodes into

chorus. This single feels like a quintessential summary of the Death Punch sound. It’s hard, it’s fast, and it’s catchy as hell. The group again flexes their ability to blend mainstream quality hooks, while keeping a foot in the mosh pit.

“Eye of the Storm” comes ahead of the band’s highly anticipated 10th studio

album. The date is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected sometime in 2026,

coinciding with their 20th anniversary. Their date at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, however, is confirmed, and it’s August 6th.

See you in the pit!!
