Linkin Park : Hybrid Theory Turns 26 and is Still Tearing Up Music Charts
By: Mike Johnston - On October 24, one of the centuries best rock albums will have taken its 26th lap around the sun. By then, it will have spent the majority of those 26 years on the charts somewhere in the world.
Since its release in 2000, Linkin Park’s first album has sold around 30 million copies worldwide. Certified platinum 12x, Hybrid Theory is the most successful debut album of the 21st century. The album’s constant reappearance on the charts can be attributed mainly to “In The End” and “Crawling”. The worldwide success of these two single releases have accumulated over a thousand weeks of chart time.
At the time of writing, Hybrid Theory sits at #5 on the UK Rock & Metal Album charts.
