Warrior Women Set to Conquer 6 Cities, and Take Their Rightful Seat at the Top

As heavy music progressed, all female punk acts like L7 and Bikini Kill were killing it on stage, and now, 25+ years into the 21st century, female musicians like guitarist Nita Strauss, and heavy metal vixens Burning Witches are on top of the world... yet something continues to be wrong...
Women musicians are still not getting the respect they deserve. But it goes deeper than this... According to the Believe and TuneCore "Be the Change" Gender Equality Study in 2024, 3 in 5 women working in the music industry have experienced some form of sexual harassment or discrimination. That number is absolutely ridiculous... just let that data sink in for a minute... 3 out of every 5! You don't need me to tell you that that's completely unacceptable, yet it continues...
Rose Cora Perry of The Truth Untold has seen it first hand. As a result, the artist has built unbreakable bonds with her sisters in music. But something bigger needed to be done, rather than just write songs about it. So Perry created Warrior Women, a six city concert series featuring 24 female fronted bands, five empowered female guest speakers, and 21 female owned and operated business partners. "The core objective is to unite women from diverse backgrounds to share stories of resilience and create meaningful connections across professional and personal spheres" Perry states, further adding the importance of transforming local music venues into spaces of solidarity, with proceeds going to support Yellow Brick House.
Perry's band The Truth Untold will play all 6 dates with the event kicking off on September 4th, 2026 in Niagara Falls, Ontario at Taps Brewhouse. This first show will feature Kennedy Von Kat, Stone Blind and Maya Ritchie, with special guest speaker, Niagara Falls City Councillor Lori Lococo. Tickets HERE!
Night 2 happens on September 18th at Lion's Head in Windsor featuring Moonsuits, Electric Muscle Car, Harbouring Illusions, and Ashley Lynn Experience. The special guest speaker this night will be Windsor Lancers head coach Chantal Vallee. Tickets HERE!
The wheels roll east to London, Ontario's Palasad SocialBowl for a September 26th gig where The Truth Untold will rock out with Blue Herring, My Artifice, Nostalgic Brightlights, and Lindsey & The Lonelies. The Painted Lady in Toronto will host the Warrior Women event on October 3rd. Another 5 band show featuring The Truth Untold, Carmen Toth, Smoking in Bed, Neon Bloom and Nerima, this one will be a 19+ event with doors opening at 6:45pm. Ruby's Revenge, Orbiting Deathray, Ellis in Transit and Miss Conduct join Rose Cora Perry's band on October 16 in the Hammer! Ooey Gooey's hosts the 5th night of this Southern Ontario run. With cheap food, and cheap beers, the $10 cover ensures an inexpensive night of live music. Add in guest speaker HWHL: Hamilton Women's Hockey League, and you've got no room to speak of live music being too expensive.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end... at least this time around. Sarnia, Ontario's AJ's Music Hall plays host to the sixth and final night of this extravaganza. Natasha Bayduk Egan of TIB Electric is the guest speaker, while Little White Lies, The Cards Were Dealt, Circle the City, and New Moon Views will close out the event on October 23rd.
Rose Cora Perry has put together an event that is nothing short of extraordinary. Not only a tribute to women in the music industry, but a tribute to women... period! She has ammased a list of leading ladies who have kicked ass in their chosen field, to encourage, and empower all women young and old to keep on showing the world their strength. Selfishly, from a musical standpoint, this 6 city journey will rock your head off, and with insanely cheap ticket prices, why are you going to be sitting at home, wasting hours scrolling through Netflix to find something good to watch?
