Infinite Dreams - Iron Maiden's Monumental Visual History... A Museum in a Book

ree

By: Jay Broderick - If ever a book could be described as a museum in hardcover form, Infinite Dreams is it. Set for an October 7, 2025 release. Published by British publisher Thames & Hudson, this massive flashback to Iron Maiden’s 50-year reign is more than just a coffee table book... it’s a shrine to one of heavy metal’s greatest bands of all time. The illustrated book publisher has done a superb job here!

Physically, Infinite Dreams is a Beast, as formidable as Eddie himself! Measuring 12.75” x 9.75” and an inch and a half thick, this 352-page publication is printed on thick, high-gloss paper that shines like Dave Murray's first, freshly polished Fender Stratocaster. The book is heavy, literally and figuratively. Holding it is like holding the weight of half a century of heavy metal history.

The book is divided into four distinct sections, each highlighting a different era in Iron Maiden’s evolution... from their pub gigs in East London to global domination with albums like The Number of the Beast and their most recent offering Senjutsu. Structurally, Infinite Dreams is a treasure trove of stories, photographs, concert posters and handbills, handwritten lyrics and letters, album and single artwork, newspaper clippings and tons of other memorabilia. It is absolutely mind-blowing how much has been preserved in attics and crawl spaces over the past 5 decades. It will have fans pouring over it for hours, days and weeks.

The foreword by bassist and band founder Steve Harris sets the tone for this incredible hardcover. “This has been a real trip down memory lane for me – and I hope it’s a fascinating journey for you too." But it has also clearly been a trip for the rest of the band members, past and present, as they chime in to fill the narrative. This is a living document of the legacy of the beast!

Priced at $86 CAD, Infinite Dreams is a pricey offering, but man, it is worth every loonie! As the lyrics from the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son song go, “Infinite dreams, I can’t deny them, Infinity is hard to comprehend”… and so is the sheer scale and beauty of this masterful compilation. For the fans who have been there from the beginning, to the new fans discovering these legends for the first time, Infinite Dreams is an essential addition to your collection. It doesn’t just tell the story of Iron Maiden... it lets you live it!
