Toronto, Ontario - On a crisp February evening in Toronto, the Danforth Music Hall hosted one of the most eagerly awaited performances of the season as Nova Scotia’s rising star, Goldie Boutilier, brought her signature 70s indie rock and roll vibe to the stage. With her retro-chic sound and undeniable charisma, Boutilier transported the audience to an era of gritty guitar riffs, soulful melodies, and timeless energy. As the lights dimmed and the crowd buzzed with anticipation, it was clear this would be a night to remember.

The evening began promptly at 7:40 PM with Anna Graves, an alternative folk artist from Minnesota. Opening with "Hollow Bones", Anna immediately captured the audience’s attention with her soulful storytelling. As a one-woman band, she delivered an intimate and powerful performance, and it’s no surprise that her work has been recognized by notable publications like Harper’s Bazaar, where Shaboozy named it among his favorite songs. Warm and engaging, Anna frequently connected with the crowd between songs, creating a conversational atmosphere that made her feel like an old friend on stage. Dressed in a flowing, ethereal white lace outfit, she embodied the soft, intimate vibe of her music. With a natural stage presence and a growing list of notable performances alongside artists like Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris, Anna Graves is poised for great success.

At 8:30 PM, Glimmerjean & Goode took the stage with a sound that evoked the heart of 60s Americana. This Toronto-based duo brought classic rock, blues, honky tonk, and even a touch of disco to the performance. Linny Glimmerjean’s powerful vocals soared through each song, perfectly complemented by Scotty B. Goode’s slick guitar riffs. Their sound, while rooted in Americana, radiated a fresh energy that had the crowd dancing and clapping. Notably, Linny and Goldie Boutilier share a long-standing friendship, adding an extra layer of warmth and connection to the evening. Glimmerjean & Goode were the perfect opening act, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable night.

At 9:30 PM, the lights dimmed once again, and the crowd eagerly awaited the headliner. Goldie Boutilier took the stage with undeniable presence, opening with "At the End of the War", the haunting ballad from her 2025 album Goldie Montana. Holding a bouquet of roses, she approached the audience, her gold outfit shimmering under the spotlight as her voice filled the room. The song’s poignant tale of love and loss captivated the crowd, and when the final note resonated, the audience erupted into applause.


The energy shifted as Goldie seamlessly transitioned into "The Angel and the Saint", a standout track from her 2024 EP The Actress. The ballad explores themes of spirituality, loss, and seeking comfort in higher powers. With vulnerable, soulful vocals and a reflective atmosphere, the song left the audience hanging on every note, proving Goldie’s exceptional ability to turn emotional vulnerability into a resonant and unforgettable experience.


Next, Goldie launched into "Snake Eyes", the third track off Goldie Montana. The upbeat groove and infectious rhythm had the crowd on their feet, dancing alongside her. With its driving bass and catchy melody, "Snake Eyes" perfectly blended 70s rock and indie pop, creating a high-energy moment that was impossible to resist. Goldie danced across the stage like a true 70s disco diva, her magnetic energy infectious as the audience fully immersed themselves in the celebration she had created. It was a testament to her commanding stage presence and ability to electrify any crowd, proving why she is one of the most exciting performers today.



Goldie proved herself to be a phenomenal artist whose stage presence and musical talent are simply unmatched.
