Celebrating 50 Years of Metal: Accept's Legacy and Upcoming Face-Melting Album

By: Mike Johnston - In 1976, German metal kings, Accept, began their reign of Teutonic Terror. In 2026, the group will culminate 50 years of metal on one face-melting album.
Forged in the 'City of Blades', Accept began performing in their hometown of
Solingen, Germany. There, they became an integral part in the development of thrash and speed metal. For 50 years they have shredded their way through the annals of rock.
On September 4th, 2026, Accept reaffirms their place in the zeitgeist.
Dropping via Napalm Records, Teutonic Titans 1976-2026, features 50 of
metal’s heaviest hitters. Members of Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest and more,
join Accept. Together they will reimagine 19 of the band’s biggest songs. Hits like
“Balls to the Wall”, “T.V. War”, and “I’m a Rebel” are remastered; classics reborn. All infused with new vocals, and licked by the flames of Wolf Hoffman's incendiary riffs.
Hoffman will also be joined by the current lineup of Accept in a re-recorded version of “Hell Hammer”, from 1989’s Eat the Heat. This ambitious release will unravel and put to order 17 albums of work. In one epic nod to their past, the group plants their stake in the ground of the future.
