Toronto, Canada - On Sunday, March 29th, 2026, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto became the epicenter of pure metal power as Dark Chapel, Zakk Sabbath and Black Label Society took the stage for a night that left the crowd flooding to the stage. The venue was packed from the moment the doors opened, with a diverse crowd of elder metalheads and younger fans ready for what would be an unforgettable show. The energy in the air was undeniable, and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric.
Dark Chapel

Dark Chapel, led by Dario Lorina, the lead guitarist of Black Label Society, kicked things off with a performance that showcased their hard-hitting, technical style of metal. The band, based in Los Angeles, delivered a sound that combined aggressive riffing with intricate solos, capturing the audience’s attention from the first note.
Lorina, and his band mates proved that this project is much more than a side act. Dark Chapel is a force to be reckoned with in the metal world.
Zakk Sabbath

Wylde’s Zakk Sabbath cover band, which he formed in 2014, has allowed him to pay tribute to one of his greatest influences, Black Sabbath, and this night was no different. The band performed several iconic Black Sabbath covers, including "Children of the Grave" and "Fairies Wear Boots" in tribute to the Godfathers of Heavy Metal! Wylde's connection to Black Sabbath was undeniable, and his performance was filled with respect for the band's legacy.
Black Label Society

When Black Label Society took the stage, the energy in the room hit a new level. Zakk Wylde and his band have long been regarded as one of the most influential acts in metal, and their performance that night reinforced their reputation. The stage design reflected Wylde’s deep Catholic faith, with skulls, rosaries, and crosses surrounding the band, adding a spiritual dimension to the performance. This imagery spoke to Wylde’s identity as a “soldier of God,” further intensifying the emotional experience of the show.
Black Label Society’s set was an immersive journey into the heart of metal, with Wylde’s blazing guitar work and gritty vocals leading the charge. Alongside him, Dario Lorina, who also played with Dark Chapel, seamlessly integrated his technical guitar skills, creating a perfect balance of power and precision. The rhythm section, with John DeServio on bass and Jeff Fabb on drums, provided a rock-solid foundation for the band, allowing Wylde to soar with his signature sound.

The setlist, which included hits like "Funeral Bell", "Name in Blood", "Destroy & Conquer", "In This River", and "Stillborn", was a testament to the band’s prowess. The audience’s response was deafening, and the merging of both Dark Chapel and Zakk Sabbath members brought a sense of unity and intensity that made the night feel like a celebration of metal’s greatest talents. The band also played a moving cover of Ozzy's "No More Tears" in tribute to Osbourne’s recent passing. The crowd, deeply moved by the loss, sang along to every word, and Wylde’s heartfelt performance brought some to tears. The tribute to Ozzy was a powerful moment, highlighting the deep bond Wylde shares with him, both musically and personally
Having followed both bands, this show was nothing short of a revelation. Witnessing the raw power, technical skill, and emotional depth of the performance up close left an indelible mark on me. It’s an experience that will be hard to top, and one that will stay with me for years to come.
